About

Headshot of Kim Bromley - Art of Stress Recovery

Kim Bromley, founder of Art of Wellbeing, has over twenty years as a qualified psychotherapist, hypnotherapist, life and wellbeing coach, yoga teacher, and reiki master teacher.

Perhaps more importantly, Kim herself experienced and continues to experience her own journey with stress-induced illness. Though not fully understood at the time, during childhood Kim began to experience physical pain and symptoms resulting from emotional pain and trauma within an unstable home environment.

The events causing these symptoms, now referred to as adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), continued to impact Kim’s adolescence, teenage years, and adult life in the form of new symptoms and illnesses resulting from additional harmful relationships and painful life events. While the symptoms themselves had an impact on Kim’s health and wellbeing, so too did they affect her ability to work and personal relationships.

“Kim is friendly, kind and extremely well educated in her field. She manages to add humour where appropriate, which I really appreciate. I also love that Kim explains the science and psychology behind behaviours - I find it extremely helpful. I cannot recommend Kim enough if you are thinking about seeking therapy!”

As a result of the effect that stress-reduced illness has had on her own life, helping patients through their recovery with stress-induced symptoms is not just a profession for Kim.

Throughout her life and the challenges she has faced, she has used the treatment techniques she now applies to others to her own stress-induced conditions. Her personal knowledge of these illnesses provides her with a deep understanding and empathy which informs her approach to treatment and allows her to truly understand the journey of recovery.

With her extensive qualifications and years of treatment experience, Kim draws on a variety of therapy and treatment models that provide her with the ability to incorporate more than one practice into her sessions. A trained specialist and coach in the Chrysalis Effect, Kim uses this unique and comprehensive recovery program to assess the distinct areas needed to regain and maintain your health.

In order to maintain her own personal balance of wellbeing and self-care, Kim enjoys regular yoga and meditation classes for social interaction, as well as the occasional wellbeing retreat.

An avid traveler and outdoor enthusiast, she often spends weekends in nature by gardening, going for walks, or being by the sea with her partner, and Labrador Max. Two cats at home, Bella and Beauty, also provide a regular source of joy and affection. Kim is also a proud mother to two exceptional children.

“ Kim is a professional that makes it easy to build up a relationship with in order to grasp an understanding of TMS which would not be possible for me through just reading and research”
